A sculptural bedside lamp in chromed metal, its stem twisting upward in a single ribbon-like sweep, echoing a curling leaf, before curving out to hold an opaline glass shade in a soft, drooping bell form reminiscent of lily of the valley. A small piece of sculpture rather than a standard lamp base.

A recognisable motif in French decorative lighting of the period, though unattributed to a named maker.
