A table lamp with a spherical base in solid carved walnut, the surface decorated with deeply cut roses and foliage. The carving is confident and well-resolved, bold without being overworked. Signed to the base, signature yet to be deciphered. The rose was the defining motif of French Art Deco, seen across the 1925 Exposition Internationale that gave the movement its name. Comes with a conical shade in Astrid hemp and updated electrics.
