Surrealist #1 1930s
An original Surrealist piece, part of a pair by an un-known artist from the early part of the 20th century. Possibly French with a beautiful depiction of the unconscious workings of the artists mind with each line in the drawing linking to the eye of the beholder. Clear influences of Joan Miró and the early Composition works of Wassily Kandinsky. Framed in walnut wood with art glass.
Sourced in England. Mixed media/Guoache and pastel on paper. Signed 'Julius'.
Some foxing and age related marks to the paper.
