A hand-painted stoneware vase and dish from the Carrara series designed by Wilhelm Kåge for Gustavsberg in the 1940s. The pieces feature delicate floral and bird motifs in blue and orange on a white ground, characteristic of the Carrara series' chinoiserie-inspired decoration. Hand-painted by M. Matsgård in 1949 and inscribed on the base. The Carrara mark is stamped on both pieces.

Wilhelm Kåge (1889-1960) was one of Sweden's most important ceramic artists and artistic director at Gustavsberg from 1917-1949.
