A striking hand-painted ceramic amphora designed by Eric Mornils (1900-1974) for Nittsjö Keramik in the 1930s.  A vessel that showcases the distinctive Art Deco aesthetic that defined Swedish ceramics of the period and characteristic of Mornil's work during his time as artistic director of Nittsjö Ceramics. 

Signed ‘NS Sweden’. Good vintage condition with some period-appropriate glaze defects consistent with age and production methods of the 1930s.
