A vibrant composition by the Swedish painter, graphic artist and writer, Rune Jansson (1918-2014).

It was the power and colours of nature from his humble childhood growing up on Blidö, an island in the Stockholm archipelago that inspired Jansson's work. Jansson studied at the Otte Sköld's Painting School in Stockholm (1941) and The Royal Institute of Art (1942-1944), debuting his work to the public in 1949. He was married to the abstract expressionist artist and fellow Otte Sköld student, Eddie Figge (1945-1965) and together they travelled the world.
