Thomas Hellström Metal Sculpture 1950s

A delicate and intricately made metal sculpture/candelabra by the Swedish ceramic artist, Thomas Hellström (1926 - 2006). A play between minimalism and movement, reminiscent of Calder but with its own poetic voice. Constructed from fine pieces of brass, metal and wood with painted details. Thomas Hellström worked at the Nittsjö Keramik factory in Sweden from 1958 and was most known for his ceramic figurines.
