Ceramic Egg Sculpture

This striking large-scale ceramic egg showcases the artistry of self taught ceramicist Vincent Nilsson (b.1951) beautifully presented on a natural granite foundation. The piece features a matte speckled glaze that catches the light with subtle variation across it's organic form and the natural granite base provides a earthy counterpoint to the refined sculpture in clay.

Nilsson hails form the renowned ceramic traditions of the Höganäs region of the South of Sweden, where he learned his craft under the tutelage of his father, ceramicist Henning Nilsson.
