Rokoko Side Table

A wonderfully simple and elegant Swedish Rokoko side table with clean shapely lines. Gently renovated to extend its lifetime, this piece is full of character with a patina in a deep hue of bitter chocolate. Beautiful wrought iron nails are exposed on the top.

Traditionally Rokoko furniture is more extravagant in decoration with more stylistic painted details, this piece seemingly half finished for its time.  The style avoids angular and rigid lines and favours smooth swirls, fragile lines and ornamental details which is present with the side detailing and those exquisite shapely legs.

Some marks and dents from age.  Stable and solid.
