Matsson Marnell Plinth No.2

Matsson Marnell is a design studio founded by friends Katarina Matsson and Magda Marnell with the mission to create meaningful objects in a circular manner.  Their debut 'Skog Collection' was launched to great acclaim at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2023 featuring a series of wooden tables that explored the boundaries between raw nature and the human hand. Matsson Marnell challenge the traditions of woodwork that strives to tame the wood, by designing with the natural shape of material in mind carefully retaining its natural raw beauty. 

Plinth No.2 is hand carved from reclaimed birch wood from the High Coast of Sweden by their genius woodworker and cabinet maker, Moa Ott. Designed to respect the natural form and beauty of the Birch tree logs. Finished with a natural linseed wax.

Expect some natural variations in hues, shapes and patterns due to organic nature of the material. Can be custom made to measure.
