Gunnar Nylund Rörstrand Floor Vase

Designed and signed by Gunnar Nylund (1904 - 1997) for Rörstrand, Sweden in the 1950s.
Nylund was the Artistic Director for the eponymous Rörstrand Porcelain factory between 1931 - 1955. He was responsible for creating revolutionary stoneware in chamotte and matte feldspar glazes. Using 'Ox Blood' and 'Hare's Fur' glazes, his collections of stoneware and sculptures garnered much attention during the early part of the 20th century. He became a pioneer in his field.
This is an exceptional example of his work in great condition. It has beautiful beige and blue tones throughout. Each vase that was created, varies in colour. Making each one totally unique and collectible.
