A stoneware bowl by Carl Harry Stålhane (1920 - 1990) for Rörstrand.
A beautifully non symmetrical shape with a light semi matt beige with dark mottled glaze.

Stålhane came to Rörstränd's porcelaine factory originally to study painting. By the mid 1950s (after studying in Paris) he took over from Gunnar Nylund as Artistic Director and was developing heavy chamotte stoneware sculptures and vases. His large sculptural pieces continue to be highly collectible today.

Incised with  "R(three crowns) Sweden CHS SHX"
Marked a factory second but entirely unique because of it.

Good condition.
