A short pitcher by Gunnar Nylund (1904 - 1997).
Harp fur glaze in brown with hints of aqua marine.
Nylund was the Artistic Director for the eponymous Rörstrand Porceleine factory between 1931 - 1955.
He was responsible for creating the revolutionary stoneware in matte feldspar glazes and chamotte.
Using 'Ox Blood' and 'Harp Fur' glazes, his collections of stoneware and sculptures garnered much attention during the early part of the 20th century and he became a pioneer in his field.
